Produced by the Concept Workshop, under iFortyOne13 Productions, Inc., Me and My Town is set to air on GMA News TV every Sunday at 9:30 AM from August 12.

What Makes it Unique?

Compared to other famous local travel shows, including Biyahe ni Drew, Me and My Town will not just share the experiences of the host, veteran broadcast journalist, Kathy San Gabriel. It will also feature locals of the featured towns who will serve as its co-hosts. Now that’s so unique, eh? These locals will be tasked to tour the show around and will introduce a different adventure and discovery. Sounds exciting for them, too, because if they are really good in hosting, it’s a great chance for them to be discovered. Who knows, the show will consider one of them as a regular co-host—or more.

Furthermore, it will not just showcase the spots, culture and food of town. It will also cover the featured town's story and community, among others.

Why such the Time slot?

After considering several factors, the company decided to choose the 930AM time slot. One attendee at the show’s launch party pointed out that it is not ideal for the millennials as most of them are still dozing at that time. So if you won’t be able to catch up the show at the said time, you are always welcome to watch the show’s recorded episodes on Facebook. That’s the power of social media, right? :)

Destinations

Talking about unique, the show will feature unique destinations in the country. So forget about El Nido, Boracay, and Siargao as those are already in the limelight. The show will focus in featuring the towns that are not yet popular, but definitely worth visiting for. The show’s first episode, co-hosted by Cong. Alex Advincula, on Sunday, August 12 will feature the modern and historic city of Imus in the province of Cavite. Make sure to watch out for it to have a better idea of the show. Rest assured, it will be taken into full consideration. It would highly help if you will list down the things to do in your town.
